What to expect

The Lost Valley, or Coire Gabhail, is a hidden hanging valley tucked between two of the Three Sisters. A path climbs from the A82 across a river and up a rocky gully to a flat, grassy basin, where, according to local tradition, the MacDonalds once hid stolen cattle. The round trip is only about two and a half miles, but the path is steep and rocky, with a stream crossing near the start.
