About BritBreaks

An independent guide to UK weekend breaks, built to help you choose where to go and compare where to stay.

What BritBreaks does

Choosing a weekend away usually starts with a question like “where can we go for about £300, within three hours of home?” BritBreaks is built around that question. Our finder takes your budget, starting point, travel limit and wishes, and suggests destinations that fit. Our guides then explain each place: what to do, where to stay, how to get there and roughly what it will cost.

Everything on the site is free to use, and focused on the United Kingdom.

How we make money

Some links on BritBreaks are affiliate links. If you click one and then book or buy, the company may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing extra, and we do not currently accept payment to feature a place. You can read the full detail on our affiliate disclosure page.

How our guides are made

We use AI tools to help research and draft our guides and to power the finder, and we review and update the guides ourselves. Costs and journey times are estimates and can change. The hotels we mention are well-established places often recommended for an area, not paid placements, and you should always check current ratings, prices and availability before you book.

Corrections and feedback

We want our guides to be accurate. If you spot a mistake, or a place has closed or changed, please tell us through the contact form, and tell us which page it is on. We aim to fix errors promptly.
