Cookie policy
Last updated 1 October 2026
Cookies are small files that websites store on your device. This page explains how BritBreaks and the sites it links to use them.
Cookies on BritBreaks
We do not set cookies for tracking or advertising. We do not run advertising networks or social media tracking on our pages.
- Visit statistics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are popular. It does not use cookies or store identifiers on your device.
- Temporary browser storage: to keep the site fast, your browser may briefly remember things such as which background photo is shown. This uses session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab.
- Contact form: sending a message through our contact form does not set tracking cookies.
Photos and maps
Our photos load from Unsplash and Wikipedia. When your browser fetches a picture, the provider can see your IP address and basic device information, as with any website resource.
Cookies on sites we link to
When you click a link to another website, such as Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com, Tripadvisor, Viator, GetYourGuide, Amazon or Google Maps, that site may set its own cookies. Affiliate links often work by setting a cookie that tells the company your visit came from BritBreaks, so it can credit us if you book or buy. We do not control these cookies, and you should check each site's own cookie policy.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing so will not stop BritBreaks working, though blocking affiliate cookies on other sites means we will not be credited for bookings you make.
Changes
If we add analytics, advertising or other tools that use cookies, we will update this page and ask for your consent where the law requires it. See also our privacy policy.
