1. Who we are
BritBreaks is run by Shivatheesan Jeganathan, an individual trading as BritBreaks in the United Kingdom. You can contact us through our contact form.
2. What BritBreaks does
BritBreaks helps you find ideas for UK weekend breaks and links to other websites where you can look at places to stay and things to do. We are not a travel agent or tour operator, and we do not sell or book travel. If you book something through a link, your contract is with the provider of that service, under their terms, and not with us.
3. Ideas, estimates and AI
Many ideas on the site are generated by artificial intelligence, and our guides are written for general information. Costs, travel times, opening hours and other details are rough estimates and may be wrong or out of date. Please check prices, availability, opening times, accessibility and any rules (for example for dogs on beaches) with the provider before you travel or book.
4. Affiliate links
Some links on the site are affiliate links. If you book through them we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. See our affiliate disclosure.
5. Outdoor activities and your safety
Walking, swimming, boat trips and other activities carry risks. You are responsible for checking the weather, tides and conditions, for choosing activities suited to your ability and for your own safety and that of anyone you travel with.
6. Acceptable use
Please use the site fairly. You must not misuse it, try to break or overload it, use automated tools to copy or query it in bulk, or use it for anything unlawful. We may limit or block access if we think the site is being misused.
7. Other websites and photos
We link to websites run by other people and are not responsible for their content or services. Photos on the site come from Unsplash and Wikipedia and belong to their photographers and licensors, who are credited on the pictures.
8. Our content
The text, design and layout of BritBreaks belong to us or our licensors. You may view and share links to the site, but please do not copy substantial parts of it without our permission.
9. Our responsibility to you
We provide the site free of charge and “as is”. We take care, but we cannot guarantee that it will always be available, accurate or free of errors. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited, and your legal rights as a consumer are not affected. 11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, although if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also be able to bring a claim in your local courts.
