Callander is a small town at the edge of the Highlands, on the River Teith, in the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. It has a wide main street, outdoor shops and cafes, and a bridge, and it was the setting of the television series Dr Finlay's Casebook.
It is a good base for walks to waterfalls and crags, cycling on a railway path and visits to nearby lochs.
