What to expect
Horsey Gap, on the east Norfolk coast, is home to one of the largest grey seal colonies in England. From late autumn through winter, hundreds of seals haul out on the beach and pups are born. Viewing is from a safe distance, and areas are often fenced to protect the animals. Respect the signs, because disturbance harms pups.
Tips before you go
- Keep well away from the seals and follow all signs.
- Dogs must be kept away, as they disturb seals.
- Check the National Trust site for current viewing arrangements.
