What to expect
The Quiraing is a spectacular landslip on the northern end of the Trotternish ridge, where pinnacles, cliffs and hidden plateaus stand above the sea. A well-known circular route of about four miles runs from the car park, across a narrow path beneath the cliffs and past formations known as the Prison, the Needle and the Table. The path can be exposed and slippery.
Tips before you go
- The path crosses steep ground, so watch your footing and keep children close.
- The access road is single-track with sharp bends, so drive carefully.
- Go early or late to avoid the busiest times.
