What to expect
Kielder Water and Forest Park is part of the Northumberland International Dark Sky Park, with some of the darkest and clearest skies in England. The Kielder Observatory runs evening events with experts and telescopes, and many visitors also stargaze from the lakeside car parks. On a clear night, the Milky Way, planets and star clusters are easy to see.
Tips before you go
