What to expect
The Highland Wildlife Park is a safari-style park in the Cairngorms National Park, run by the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland. It has native Scottish wildlife such as wildcats, pine martens and red deer, alongside animals from cold regions across the world, including snow leopards and polar bears. Visitors drive through a large area with free-roaming deer and bison, and then walk around enclosures.
Tips before you go
- Allow most of a half day, as the park is large.
- The drive-through is free to enter with a car, but there is a charge for the walk round.
- Dress warmly, as it can be cold, even in summer.
