What to expect
Stonehenge is a prehistoric stone circle on Salisbury Plain, completed around 4,500 years ago, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A visitor centre explains the monument and a shuttle or walk takes you to the stones. You walk around the circle on a path rather than among the stones. The solstices have special access arrangements.
Tips before you go
