What to expect
Caernarfon Castle is one of the most impressive castles in Britain, built by Edward I in the late 13th century and now part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its polygonal towers and banded stone walls were designed to look like the walls of Constantinople, and the castle was the setting for the investiture of the Prince of Wales in 1969. You can climb towers, walk the battlements and visit exhibitions inside.
