What to expect
Brighton Palace Pier opened in 1899 and is one of the most famous seaside piers in Britain, with arcades, rides and food stalls. The seafront promenade runs along the pebble beach and takes you to the i360 viewing tower, the lanes, the beach cafes and the seaside atmosphere. The beach is pebble rather than sand, so bring shoes or a mat.
Tips before you go
- Wear shoes you can walk on pebbles in.
- Seagulls are bold, so watch your chips.
- The pier is busiest on summer weekends.
